A simple drip system to water your plants when you are away from home. All you need to do is tap a button on your phone to get the system going no matter where you are. Cost effective, easy to install and scalable to farms and greenhouses. This system protects my plants when i’m outstation.

Just imagine our life these days, we have no time for anything in life. We all want to have beautiful plants at home but somehow we are not able to protect them. In our busy life, sometimes we forget to water them, sometimes we are not at home. At the end, we are only left with a tulsi plant or money plant at home. 😀

Imagine, you are going for a vacation, You are all ready for some fun, but what about your plants? Probably you have an option to ask your neighbour for some help, but that also doesn’t work too long.

I had faced this problem many times. To curb this problem ,we have created a drip irrigation system at home which runs via internet & you can water your plants just by a tap of a button on your mobile from anywhere in the world.

We have made this simple drip irrigation system to water our plants when we are away from home. It is cost effective & easy to install & it is scalable to farms & greenhouses also. Below i’m sharing a video which gives everyone an overview, about how it works.

This box can be installed at any house at reasonable price. It can water up to 50 plants & even more. It is small so it will not take much place in your balcony. This drip system can help protect plants long after your vacation. When used with a timer, it waters your plants automatically — even twice a day, if needed, during periods of extreme heat or drought.  Share your feedback as how you like the system.

Hibiscus Fever…How to care for your hibiscus plant.

Flowering hibiscus is a treasured shrub among many gardeners. When you know how to care for your hibiscus plant, you will be rewarded with many years of lovely flowers.

Here are few tips on how to care for your hibiscus plant:

Watering– Growing tropical hibiscus in containers require continuous checking of the plant. The plant requires continuous watering because potting mixture gets dry very quickly. That results in yellowing of plant & also fall of buds. Check the plant often & if it requires watering, do not hesitate to water them twice a day in hot sunny days.

Fertilizing- Hibiscus requires nitrogen & high levels of potassium. Fertilize your hibiscus with a balanced fertilizer. for eg- 10-10-10 proportion or 20-20-20 proportion. Do not over fertilise the plant as it will result in fewer blooms or no blooms & also yellowing  & falling of leaves. Fertilizer should be given frequently but lightly.

If you have realised that, you have over fertilize the plant & It is showing no blooms, then add phosphorus to the soil to get the blooms back.
